Applications of Computational Intelligence Methods

The goal of the seminar is to get more familiar with computational intelligence methods and try to apply them to more complex real-world problems. During the seminar, we will cover current topics from the areas of machine learning, evolutionary algorithms, and deep learning.

Source codes and texts for the individual topics covered in the past can be found on GitHub. You can also directly browse the individual notebooks with notes and figures there.

Credit Requirements

You will receive the credit for work on two projects - one on data visualization and one on the application of computational intelligence methods. You can work in small groups (2-4 people). Each group will give one short presentation (about 10 minutes) for each project - the main goal is to show off what you accomplished and, at the same time, inspire others with what can be done using the covered methods and how to present your results.
